1. What is this Andean philosophy?

This name comes from Siberia and means Medicine Man.

AYAHUASCA

As we already said it, that ancestral medicine is only used by shamans to heal a variety of illnesses and to give initiations to people, to help them in their process of personal development and growth.
The name “Ayahuasca” comes from the Shipibo language “nishi rao” which means “Medicine Rope” and in Quechua, “Death´s Rope” (Aya = Death and Huasca = Rope). Scientifically, the Ayahuasca is known as banisteriopsis caapi and it is an ilarian plant which only grows in the Amazonian region (Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and Colombia).
The Ayahuasca´s preparation is exclusively done by shamans and it is boiled during several hours, along with other plants like the Chakuruna, Toe, etc. And this process is accompanied by shamanic chants or “izaros” (prayers or “mantras” typical of the Amazonian Shipibo culture), which altogether converts itself into a powerful medicine.

3 basic days: 1 day before, 1 day during and 1 day after
During the three days: It is forbidden to drink alcohol, antibiotics, drugs and cigarettes due to the negative effects with the ayahuasca. We suggest you eat light food such as fish and vegetables for these three days.

On day before do not have sex

During the ceremony’s day, no eating full day . The same day after the ceremony you will be able to eat fish , please do not forget that you will not be able to drink alcohol or take drugs.

That day after ceremony, if you wish you will be able to have sex

Do not smoke marihuana during the three days.
